Oil is not enough

“If the stability is affected in Azerbaijan, the regulation of the Karabakh conflict will be delayed. This will be very bad because we are already close to the solution”, – said OSCE existing president Dmitri Roupel in his interview given to “The Wall Street Journal”. Roupel thinks that Azerbaijan has a very good chance to get good profit from oil, because now the world prices for oil are on the highest top level now. But according to him it is impossible to have prospective development if there are no political reforms, stability and security: “There may be powers in Azerbaijan that prefer power pressure only in order to reach their personal goals, and this is very dangerous”.
