Yesterday in the framework of the political campaign the RPA Chairman Serzh Sargsyan had meetings in several communities of Vayots Dzor region where he replied to the criticism as to why he personally leads the campaign. “I never had the habit of evading responsibility in my whole life. Even more, I have always done more than others expected in order to make my plans come true. Nowadays as well I personally lead the election campaign as Chairman of the RPA. I do it with a great sense of responsibility and consider it a high honor. And I am ready to respond to all kinds of spiteful critics which consider it a sign of weakness that I act on behalf of the Republican Party and I am the only person to carry out the campaign. Of course, these rumors do not correspond to realty. All of you know that the RPA conducts the election campaign by enrolling thousands of people. Thousands of party members are in our villages and cities; they submit proper reports and introduce the population to the party’s future planes and ideas. It is elementary that I should be in the center as I am the RPA chairman, can anyone else apart from me speak of the Party’s future policies with such a great sense of responsibility as I do? Besides, many people would wonder if I appear in the background at this immensely important moment for the Party. I have never declined my responsibilities and I will never do. Neither will the RPA. And we are ready to do more than we are expected,” said S. Sargsyan and added that the RPA had always respected its opponents and had always been for ensuring equal conditions for competition. The RPA will always act in this very manner. “This election campaign is the best proof of political maturity. Labeling and contempt should not exist in our political life,” he noted.
