“The elections to take place on May 6 are not only parliamentary elections but election of the government as well,” announced former foreign minister Vartan Oskanyan in his article entitled “Situation anatomy”. Vartan Oskanyan mentions that according to the Constitution the government is formed by majority of the parliament. Accordingly, when voters give their votes to a politician, party or alliance of parties, the voter gives also a vote for the future government and formation of coalition.
In answer to this announcement the minister of education, vice-president of RPA wrote the following on his facebook wall: “Of course we need a new government. And it is very important that this new government does not include political powers that share Vartan Oskanyan’s viewpoints.”
