Divide to be reproduced

One of the main factors of Armenia’s elections has become electoral bribe. From elections to elections the methods of electoral bribery have developed as brute methods have been replaced by more civilized methods and the amounts of electoral bribes have been increased as well. Before every election debates result in the following conclusion: the authorities announce that they will strictly punish anyone distributing electoral bribe (of course by refusing the fact that it is done by them), and the opposition warns the society that if they take bribe, they will be guilty in everything. In this process the ordinary citizen is lost, who is considered to be the one who gives or fights against bribe. What the opposition says is justified and true: by taking bribe citizens allow the government to be reproduced and do with them whatever they want. Ultimately the authorities offer electoral bribe to the society, and the opposition complains, criticizes and demands from the society not to take bribe. Unfortunately in this process and fight the one that wins is the money, i.e. the bribe. If we discuss the reasons generally, one of the main reasons is the fact that the society does not have good legal consciousness and deserves the government. However, when we take the issue from the philosophic box and put in the box of reality, such conclusions are as much offensive as the 5, 10 or 15k drams offered by the authorities. In Armenia the official level of poverty is 36%, which means that every third person is poor. For these people poverty is not a term but routine life and struggle they are chasing during every demonstration; it is about frozen and hungry children… We are not exaggerating and if our readers want they can read such stories in every publication of our newspaper by reading the articles of Lusine Stepanyan. When we speak about corruption, it is difficult to criticize these people for taking bribe because at least they can feed their children and have two days without hunger. This does not justify those who take and/or give electoral bribe. This gives an answer to the question that official often touch upon asking whether the government does not want that their people could live better, be financially wealthy, etc. No, they don’t want their people live good because in that case minimum one million people will have money and will refuse to take electoral bribe, thus they cannot be reproduced in the power. In the past the prime-minister Tigran Sargsyan commented on the issue of migration and subconsciously told the truth: “What can we do not to let those people run away, make them stay here but not to let any revolution happen?” The same logic is also about the issue of poverty and if the PM was honest, he would say the following: “What can we do to make people rich, not to let the poor take electoral bribe, but not to let any revolution take place either?”
