Information has been published that in the 7th precinct of Yerevan, where Samvel Alexanyan has been nominated by the RPA, the chief editor of Haykakan Zhamanak newspaper Nikol Pashinyan and the head of Heritage party Raffi Hovhannisyan will be nominated as well. Yesterday the latter said that they did not know about each other to be nominated. Raffi Hovhannisyan did not exclude the possibility that as a result of negotiations with Pashinyan he might withdraw his candidacy. “If this proposal is accepted, we will be waiting for a call. And if no, we will move forward. We have no responsibility to serve for the ANC’s strategy,” said Heritage member Stepan Safaryan to our newspaper. Will the ANC negotiate with the Heritage to have one joint supported candidate in the seventh and other precincts of Yerevan? “Let’s see; the day will come and we will see it. If anyone thinks that the ANC is concerned about Raffi Hovhannisyan’s nomination, they are mistaken. I do not want to bring more details as we will comment on this issue very soon,” said ANC leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s spokesman Arman Musinyan.
