Yesterday during the press-conference the chairman of ARF fraction Vahan Hovhannisyan made several comments on the recent well-known incident as regards to rigging the votes at the Parliament. “If today the RPA deputies vote instead of their colleagues, tomorrow they will rig the parliamentary elections,” said Hovhannisyan and added that the ruling party is not competent enough. “If you pass a new law by violating the existing law, why should I believe that you will hold legitimate elections? This time it will be more difficult to make a progress with frauds. Nowadays the authorities have two guidelines: to keep the power at any expense and to exclude the repetition of March 1. This is the only rational way out,” noted Hovhannisyan. Yesterday the RPA speaker Sharmazanov hurried to response to Vahan Hovhannisyan’s remarks. If I am not mistaken, Vahan Hovhannisyan himself was not present at the Parliament during the voting process. And none of the ARF fraction members present at the Parliament at that time expressed any opinion,” said Sharmazanov to Tert.am. Larisa Alaverdyan, Heritage fraction member, also expressed her opinion as regards to the recent incident. “If the RPA members rig the votes to ensure quorum in front of everybody, imagine what they are able to do invisibly,” she said. Sharmazanov stated that he is not going to make any comments as regards to Larisa Alaverdyan’s opinion as his principle is "either well or nothing" of Alaverdyan.
