According to our information, the area adjacent to Hrazdan stadium, which has become a topic of active discussions in the society, has a new owner. According to well-informed sources, the former owner of the area Ashot Aghababyan has sold the area to Samvel Mayrapetyan, an owner of new elite buildings construction business, and the minister of regional administration Armen Gevorgyan. According to our information, the parties have already reached preliminary agreement, but on the condition that the transaction may be done only when Aghababyan acquires a permit for building a trade center and hotel complex in that area. Mayrapetyan has refused this information. “Is my name Ashot Aghababyan? These are baseless rumors, a tale,” said Myrapetyan to our correspondent. However, our sources assure that the deal has been made and maybe the parties have agreed to refute such rumors if there were any. This means that as far as Aghababyan has not acquired the permit, Mayrapetyan does not want to be involved in noisy processes connected with construction. In our next publication we will bring more details about the processes that are happening to the Hrazdan stadium and adjacent area.
