Yesterday in Armenia-Marriott the regional governor of Syunik region hit Silva Hambardzumyan who is a business women.
A few days ago Silva Hambardzumyan announced during a press conference that S. Khachatryan stole equipment worth 102 billion dram from “Sipan 1” company, which belongs to her and now it is in the mine “Gehva Dzor” which belongs to the regional governor. After this announcement the regional governor threatened to bring the business woman to the court, however no action has been brought against Silva Hambardzumyan up to date. After yesterday’s event S. Hambardzumyan told at the interview that she was having a meeting in the hotel. After a while Suren Khachatryan came to the hotel as well and seeing Silva attacked her. “I had to go to “Yerkir Media” TV to take part in a program. Suren Khachatryan came in and attacked me at once. He wanted to hit me with his leg but he didn’t succeed and started hitting with his hand. People present took him away. He hit me on the head several times”- said Silva Hambardzumyan. According to her it took place around 16:55 p.m. when she went to a business meeting. To the question if the regional governor was aware where she was she replied-“No. he was not aware. He was surprised when he saw me, told me to stop for a while, but I said that I was having a meeting and we will meet another day. I guess he didn’t hear what I said. He attacked me without saying a word”. Silva Hambardzumyan said that she was going to apply to the Chief of Police Vladimir Gasparyan to take the record of what happened from Armenia-Marriott. To the question who were the people who tried to take Khachatryan away she replied, -“Random people. What he did is the last level of hooliganism. I am going to apply to the Chief of Police to assure my security”. According to her, Suren Khachatryan didn’t beat her, as some media present. “I can’t say something that did not happen. He hit me on my head only once. If people did not stop him, he may have continued” said the business woman. Later S. Hambardzumyan stated that NA deputies Khachik Manukyan and Samvel Sargsyan interfered as well, who were with him at that time. “Yes everybody tried to stop him. The owner of “Max Group” Khachik Manukyan, the owner of “Ararat Hyatt” Samvel Sargsyan and someone else, I don’t know him. You may ask the video records from the hotel,” said the business woman. To the question of one of the media representatives whether the regional governor of Syunik really hit Silva Hambardzumyan, the NA deputy Khachik Manukyan replied. “I came to the hotel later. I don’t know what happened. We tried to gain information from Surik Khachatryan as well, but he didn’t answer our phone calls.
