Large companies will pay more taxes

12/11/2011

The state incomes committee has published the list of the largest 1000 taxpayers for the period of January-September. Zangezur copper-molybdenum company, which had lost its positions, is in the first place again. Compared to the same period of the previous year this company has paid by 2.5 more tax (22.5 billion drams instead of 8.8 billion). The company was in the fifth place last year, but this year it is in the first place. ArmRusGazArd, K-Telecom, Alex-Grig and other companies are among the largest ten taxpayers. Armenia International Airports has paid almost twice more taxes (5.5 billion drams instead of 2.8 billion). This is likely connected with the large construction works for the new terminal. Below is the chart of the first ten largest taxpayers:

The largest 1000 taxpayers together have paid 352.8 billion drams to the budget in the period of January-September. This makes 72.7% of the overall tax incomes.

Compared to the same period of the previous year the largest taxpayers have paid by 10.7% more taxes. The overall tax incomes have grown by 9.9% (from 441.1 billion drams to 485). This means that the tax load has been allocated equally and the large businesses have even contributed more to the growth of tax incomes.
