According to our information, the authorities are looking for ways to soften the hard critics and estimations given in the interview by French Armenian singer Charles Aznavour published in Les Nouvelles d’Armenie. For your information, Charles Aznavour said that interview that people migrate from Armenia because nothing is being done to help people there. “It is the vice versa; I know horrible stories about the mafia people there. They do so that the villagers stay hungry on their own lands. Such members of the mafia should be shot down,” he said. He also said the following, “If the word Genocide is an obstacle for Turkey, we will find another word.” During that day the foreign ministry did not publish any comment about the mentioned statement. The press service of the president’s office refused to give any clarification to our correspondent either. According to our information, the authorities are trying to arrange that Aznavour, who has visited Armenia recently, gives the answers and clarifications to these statements himself.
