According to our information, foreign affairs deputy minister Karine Ghazinyan will be appointed Ambassador of Armenia to the Great Britain. The deputy minister’s position will be assigned to the current Armenian representative to the PACE Zohrab Mnatsakanyan. However, there is no information so far who will be appointed as the representative to the PACE. According to our information, the only candidate so far is Vahagn Atabekyan, however the foreign affairs minister Edward Nalbandyan is against this candidacy. V. Atabekyan is considered to be experienced diplomat and the foreign affairs ministry feels lack of such professionals, thus the minister does not want to lose his services in Yerevan.
