Lately we have prepared a publication on the religious leader of Ararat wing of the Armenian Apostolic Church Navasard (Samvel) Archbishop Ktchoyan, who had received a Bentley from his relative. The price of that exact model is around 180,000-200,000 USD. We were told from Ararat wing that the present was given by his relative Kirakos Petrosyan. When speaking to our reporter on the telephone Ktchoyan was angry by saying, “Who is interested in it? In the society each person has his/her private life. Let them take care of that. Why would the society deal with my personal life? My private life is invulnerable according to the constitution. One of my relatives took my Mercedes and gave me a Bentley instead. He wanted it and I gave him my car. What’s wrong with that?” We have information that the plate numbers were given to the clergyman by the chair of Prosperous Armenia Party Gagik Tsarukyan. Back on Wednesday the spokesman of Prosperous Armenia Khachik Galstyan had promised to respond on the next day whether the plate numbers were given to the Archbishop by the chair of the party or not. Let us recall that the clergyman himself has denied this rumor. And so as a response to our question yesterday Khachik Galstyan responded, “I officially announce that Gagik Tsarukyan has not presented any plate numbers to Archbishop Ktchoyan.” Moreover, according to well-known sources the plate number presented by Tsarukyan to Ktchoyan is 008 08 and more than that, the clergyman had bought the car himself and nobody had presented it to him. Indeed, in this case it is not even important whether he bought the car or his plate numbers are 008 08 or 777 or any other numbers. All these are nuances. The most important thing is the behavior of the high-rank clergyman and his attitude to the society. As one of the readers of Facebook has posted, “Then we get surprised that Armenia is full of sects.” Another reader has offered all the readers of 168 Zham after reading the article about Ktchoyan read the article on the meeting with a pensioner Asya Ivanyan, in which the senior woman asks the government not to cut her 13,000 AMD poverty subsidy as a March 8 present for her.
