According to our information, the authorities are concerned of the developments in the Diaspora and activities of Armenian organizations. For this purpose the minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan was instructed to announce that president Serzh Sargsyan wants to make reforms and make the parliament bicameral to include people from the Diaspora in the upper level. The problem is the fact that the Armenian organizations in the Diaspora, especially the ones in the US, are not satisfied with the work of the Armenian authorities and have decided to mobilize the potential in the world and establish a coordination organization. This institution should not be like the Pan-Armenian Congress managed by Ara Abrahamyan, who uses the tools of this organization for his business purposes. According to our information, for now the initiative of the Diaspora is coordinated by the chief editor of the California Courier newspaper Harut Sasunyan. The authorities have decided to stop this process by tempting the idea of the bicameral parliament. A recent announcement shows how serious the Diaspora may react to this initiative of the Armenian authorities. A couple of days ago the renown Armenian benevolent Kirk Kirkrian terminated the Linsy foundation and transferred the 200 million financial actives to the California university in Los Angeles. The coordinator of the Linsy foundation was Harut Sasunyan.
