According to our information, the authorities have decided not to dismiss the head of the compulsory fulfillment of judicial acts department of the justice ministry Mihran Poghosyan yet because they don’t have the right person to substitute him in that position. In addition, due to his businesses in Kanaker-Zeitun community he has influence and can bring votes to the RPA.
By the way, this man is one of the people who made Armenia “a country which exports banana”. In 2007 one of the reason why the deputy chief of the National security Service Grigor Harutyunyan was dismissed was the fact that he had registered the banana cargo imported to Armenia as products that are imported for the purpose of exporting to third countries. As a result of this machination they did not pay a lot of money to the budget. Due to this machination they failed to pay more than 2 billion dollars to the budget. However, M. Poghosyan got a good position. Recently he opened a benevolent organization named “Catherine” and sometimes he gives some of the products he imports to the poor. He imports citrus and other fruit. When the term of these products (orange, banana, etc.) is up to the end and may spoil soon, he gives this fruit to needy people. Certainly due to this action he attracts the votes of needy families, thus the authorities don’t want to lose him with these votes.
