Yesterday when speaking of the issue of resignation of the mayor of Yerevan Gagik Beglaryan and the minister of justice Gevorg Danielyan the Ombudsman of Armenia Armen Harutyunyan said, “What connection can the resignation of the minister of justice have with the violation of human rights?” To the reminder that the minister was punished for not punishing the head of the compulsory service, who in his turn has slapped and insulted his subordinate, the Ombudsman said, “I don’t know the details but if the head of the compulsory service has made a violation let him be fired. Why would the minister be fired?”
