Haykakan Zhamanak newspaper’s editor-in-chief Nikol Pashinyan’s wife Anna Hakobyan was not allowed to see her husband in the Kosh penitentiary with the reasoning that he had been subjected to disciplinary punishment and taken to a separate room, where he is not allowed to meet anybody. Yesterday they could not get in touch with Nikol Pashinyan anyway. However, we were informed yesterday that the monitoring group of penitentiary led by lawyer Artur Sakunts visited the penitentiary. One of the members of the group told A. Hakobyan that Nikol’s conditions is normal. On November 18 Pashinyan’s supporters will organize a press-conference in the office of Haykakan Zhamanak to demand the release of the political prisoner immediately. The heads of the following newspapers and TV companies will take part in the press-conference: Chorrord Ishkhankutyun, Aravot, Hraparak, 168 Zham, Hetq, Haykakan Zhamanak, Irates de facto, Lragir, Armtoday, Epress, ²1+, as well as a number of TV and electronic media companies.
