From the series of “Armenian marasmus”

“A new “Armenian cheese” program launched next year will promote Armenian brand all over the globe.” This is not quotation from a paper of a freshman student or a surrealism style essay writer but from the speech of the Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan. Export of the Armenian cheese to Russian and other markets is expected to increase dramatically. “The Armenian cheese” program is carried out within the framework of government -private sector cooperation and is a part of measures undertaken to promote country’s export. Let’s agree that a person should have a special humiliating attitude to the state to degrade the state so much. Moreover, the imagination spring of Tigran Sargsyan and the Armenian government are diminishing too in the aspect of contents. If in the past these ideas would “soar” from the soc called tolerable desire and romantic dream to create various regional centers in Armenia (even establish the port of Gyumri) at least those sounded good. But now they reached the level of cheese. But Sargsyan didn’t give details on how the Armenian cheese is going to compete with other cheese brands, for example with the French cheese in the event of entering the international market. He doesn’t give details as in the theory of economics there is nothing about economic dreams in general. No one agues that the assortment of the Armenian cheese is good but so is the mulberry vodka or Karabakh, beans of Goris, Kyufta or Pakhlava of Kyavar or walnut of Ashtarak, Potatoes of Martuni, which can too be used for active exportation. But if speaking more seriously we think it is really the time to add a provision in the constitution or the criminal code, which would define “punishment for degrading the merits of the Republic of Armenia” and for using “Armenia as experiment field for fantasizing.” This punishment can be applied with certain advantages by providing a certain portion of cheese in the penitentiary and for the statesmen – Armenian cheese.
