Even though one and half years have remained till the next parliamentary elections, the pro-government parties are not only getting prepared for the elections, but are discussing the pre-election lists as well. The political sector is mostly discussing the pre-election lists of the RPA. Certainly the biggest question is that who is going to lead that list. Rumors say there are intrigues in the party because many of the party members have doubts about the decision to have PM Tigran Sargsyan in the first place of the party list. This is a big insult first of all to the old members of the RPA, who have not yet got used to even the membership of Tigran Sargsyan. On the other hand, it is not logical either because despite his professional position in the government, he does not play a key role in the political sector and politics and he is more like a ”hired prime-minister”. Even though from the political prospective it is not much realistic, it can really happen in consideration of the fact how he came to power and how he was promoted to prime-minister. He was appointed prime-minister after the tragic events of March 1, 2008, and even people thought that he would be dismissed as soon as the inner political situation became stabile again. Tigran Sargsyan is running the power even without having influence on many of the members of his cabinet. It means that the authorities may use his ”decorative role” during the upcoming elections as well by giving him the position of the speaker in the parliament. In the past in such situation were Khosrov Harutyunyan and Armen Khachatryan too. As for Tigran Sargsyan, he may be also an acceptable candidate for a nominal leader of the majority for the external powers as well due to the fact that he does not have a nickname and connections with the criminal forces. He can be useful for interesting TV shows as well.
