“Turkey will not open the border with Armenia for the military trainings of NATO,” said Turkish foreign minister Ahmed Davutoglu at a press conference in Almaty on June 17. “I have talked to the Azeri foreign minister Elmar Mamediarov on this topic and told him that it is impossible to open the border now, and no one should expect that,” he said. According to some media publications, including Turkish media it was possible that the Turkish party would temporarily open the border with Armenia for the NATO trainings on September 11-17 to take place in Armenia.
