“Energy issues are considered a priority. I would title them as serious issues. The bets are high. Those are important for Azerbaijan and for us as well, which we should discuss. I wouldn’t call those big objections. These are merely issues that need to be discussed and agreed on,” said an Assistant to the US State Secretary, Phillip Gordon when asked to respond whether the objections between the US and Azerbaijan are not a result of the letter of Obama addressed to Ilham Aliyev. Gordon noticed that during her upcoming visit to Azerbaijan Hillary Clinton will be discussing certain key issues. “Energy issues are important for all the countries, where the State Secretary will be visiting. This is a key issue for the Caucasus. In the agenda of talks we Armenia we should also discuss regional issues,” said Gordon. Let us remember that Present Obama addressed a letter to Ilham Aliyev in the beginning of June through Phillip Gordon. “We are aware of the existing issues and I am sure you will resolve them,” said Obama.
