Yesterday in Armenia the graduation and admission joint examinations were launched, which will end on June 23. Yesterday the applicants took exams for biology, geography, general history. As during all the years this year as way the government was pledging that everything was going to proceed very objectively because the tests had been printed in Great Britain. They were showing various programs how they’d pack in boxes these tests and transport to Armenia, how those were kept away from the eyes of the rest of the people, etc, etc. However, yesterday on the first day of the examination many applicants already had the answers of the tests, which indeed caused the anger of the parents. By the way, many school principals are also angry about that. This was caused not because of the injustice of the results of the tests but because they this was done jointly with the Grading and Testing Center, which coordinates the process of examinations. Some parents were telling that some of the kids were warned not to mark anything on the samples and not to fill the blanks anticipated for the answers and hand in the clean sample. This is once again the picture of the examinations of the first day. As they say everything is still ahead. By the way, in this context the noise raised around the opening of foreign language schools gains a new meaning. At present the attention of these people is focused on these issues. And it’s no accident that the law on the language was submitted to the National assembly on that day.
