“Me? I have not seen those people at all. We don’t kidnap. Kidnapping or arms is not our weapon, but rather, politics. We can make them kidnap themselves through politics,” said Hakob Hakobyan in response to the question as to why he had kidnapped mayor candidate for Etchmiadzin Yervand Aghvanyan’s trusted friend. “It is a lie. The people who are spreading those rumors are people who have no reputation in Etchmiadzin and that is why they are exaggerating things.”
