The RA police chief Alik Sargsyan has apologized for speaking misinformation and alleging that Vahan Khalafyan was not beaten up to death in the police department of Charentsavan. After the mentioned allegations of the police chief, the investigative body received proofs and found out that the 24 years old young man was beaten up by the head of the police department of Charentsavan. The head of this police department was arrested on Thursday. The spokesman of the police Sayat Shirinyan said yesterday that the police chief assures that the policemen of the police department of Charentsavan had reported to him that the young man had committed suicide. Sargsyan asked these policemen whether there had been violence and he was told that there had not been any violence and the young man had not been beaten up. “I will punish the officers who gave me misinformation and put me in such a difficult situation. Those who have committed crime, beaten up this young man will be strictly punished. I assure that I will not protect anyone and will punish the guilty people. I have never encouraged the violence because there are better methods of work,” said the police chief. “I apologize to those people who got misinformation from me. Those who lied to me will be punished strictly. I will not forgive anyone,” said Alik Sargsyan and mentioned that the investigation was still in process and he would punish anyone who were connected with this incident. Meantime the police chief assured that the young man had not been beaten up to death and was not killed.

“I am saying it one more time that it was a suicide and he took a knife and committed suicide,” said Alik Sargsyan according to the spokesman of the police chief. We wander if this information is true; what if in a couple of days he finds out that this information was wrong too and the young man was really killed.
