“Medvedev will visit Armenia in the near future. The priority issue will be the issue of the Azeri lands. We consider this issue as ours and continue keeping it in our agenda. Hence Turkey and Azerbaijan will coordinate their steps. No developments can harm the friendship of Turkey and Azerbaijan. Everyone knows this,” said the Turkish prime minister Ahmed Davutoglu yesterday at the Turkish parliament plenary session and informed that one of the pririty issues during Medvedev’s visit to Ankara in May will be the issue of Karabakh. Concerning the Armenia-Turkey relations Davutoglu assured that that the relations between Armenia and Turkey would be improved. “We want it,” he said and assured the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan would be resolved too. “Turks and Armenians have lived together during centuries. Wherever they meet in the world, they should be able to share not only their pain, but their history too, they should learn how to live together; they have lived together and will live together,” he said. He says that status-quo in Caucasus is not in the interests of any of the parties. “Whatever happens we will not be for the status-quo. Definitely we will feel quiet fir some time… But we will leave a lot of problems in the Caucasus for our children. We are interested in all what is happening in Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia. Any approach connected with Russia or Iran is directly connected with us. For this reason we do not want to keep the status-quo in the Caucasus. The status-quo is not in the interests of Turkey, Armenia, our brother Azerbaijan, Russia, Iran or other countries. However these parties have not made brave steps to change this status-quo. Our goal is changing this status-quo in the right direction,” said Davutoglu the game had started and the goal of the game was peace in the region. “Our vision of peace and reconciliation is this,” he said.
