The Turkish foreign minister Ahmed Davutoglu said yesterday before leaving for Baku that Turkey would not reopen the border with Armenia as far as the protocols on regulating the relation between Armenia and Turkey are not ratified. “Opening of the border without ratifying the protocols is out of the agenda of Turkey,” said Davutoglu. He also said that Turkey had signed the protocols as a result of long and detailed discussions. “We relate to the process positively and believe that eventually it will drive us to the goal,” said Davutoglu.
