He will not return

“I don’t think anyone wants Robert Kocharyan to return. He is the person who appears in Iran or France when Serzh Sargsyan is there too. He works for the Russian business. Unlike the fears, Kocharyan will not return,” says the head of the Institute for National and International Studies Richard Giragossian in answer to our question concerning the possible return of former president Kocharyan to politics. “The contradictions between the former and incumbent presidents are normal and natural. But it is not like Medvedev-Putin contradiction. It is a competition of interests. It is about the power. What the former president says has nothing to do with the foreign policy. This conflict has domestic significance,” said Richard Giragossian.
