Yesterday the public relations department of the RA police released a statement, which specifically says, “Recently the Armenian media reported that the police chief, Major-General Alik Sargsyan had sent in his resignation. We officially state that this information is untrue Alik Sargsyan has tendered no resignation and continues holding the post of police chief." We can only guess why the RA police has decided to officially deny this information especially now when there are all kinds of publications in the print media. Of course, the implication may also be considered “conscious.”
