Recently there are rumors in the media and political circles that there is a possibility that the current ambassador of Armenia to Russia Armen Smbatyan may be replaced. Up until recently the most probable candidate for this post was considered the former minister of transportation of Armenia, current advisor to the RA president Andranik Manukyan. According to certain sources the Russian side had certain discontent regarding Manukyan’s appointment. According to our information the government has recently started to discuss the appointment of the current Armenian ambassador to Belarus Oleg Yesayan. However, it is not yet know who will be substituting Yesayan in the post of the ambassador to Belarus.
