26/10/2005

During their regional basement meeting in Gyumri yesterday, the head of  “Republic” political party Aram Sargsyan announced that November 27 wasn’t going to be a constitutional referendum day, but a day for vote of confidence to the authorities. Aram Sargsyan petitioned everyone to go to Yerevan after voting and start a revolution. He also said that this referendum was a big present by the EU and other developed countries to the opposition. We asked him who was going to lead the revolution. He answered that there was no leader and that the referendum is a process where all people can act together. In regard to our to our question whether he was not afraid that the fact of not having any leader could cause chaos among people and they would leave everything and run away, and as a result of this the society would have losses, A.Sargsyan said: “No. These kinds of activities always have a body which coordinates everything”
