More money will be spent

09/11/2009

In the conditions of the world economic crisis the governments of many countries have cut down a lot of expenses, including the expenses of the state office maintenance first of all.

This policy has not only a tangible economic and social effect (as the saved money is spent on more important state issues), but moral effect as well. With this policy the authorities want to show to their people that they are ready to share the impact of the crisis with ordinary citizens. Even in Russia, which does not enjoy democracy at all, the budget of next year contemplates to significantly cut down the expenses for the government, state Duma and Federal Council. Even though the government of our country often follows the example of the “strategic ally”, this time they don’t want to do anything and even increased some expenses. By the way, according to the draft budget of 2010, the overall expenses had to be cut down by 9%.
