Back in July, three families from Pavstos Byuzand Street applied to the Embassy of France in Armenia to provide them with political refuge because the authorities had violated their human rights. The government had made these people leave their apartments. Though there is no answer from the Embassy yet, they have assured these people that their application was under the Consul’s consideration and they would inform them later. What’s more, the Consul was amazed to learn about the recent incidents, especially about the arrest of the lawyer of these people: “This is very serious”. Yesterday these people asked the Consul once more to protect them and their lawyer from the persecutions of the authorities. The Consul suggested them to attach some pictures and a video to their documents, which would prove those incidents.
