By a decree of the RA Central Election Commission (CEC), new elections have been scheduled in election districts 8 and 25 on December 6. Remind that the elections were scheduled after Armenian MPs Hakob Hakobyan (representing election district 8) and Sasun Mikaelyan (election district 25) were removed from posts under alleged charges of March 1 deadly clashes. According to our sources, the Prosperous Armenia party is planning to nominate a party member, former director of the sports base of Tsakhkadzor Mkhitar Harutyunyan. Reminder, during the last parliamentary elections Harutyunyan lost to S. Michaelyan in the same district. According to our information, in district 10, from where former MP Khachatur Sukiasyan was elected by a single-mandate system, political scientist Hmayak Hovhannisyan is attempting to run.
