Following the city council elections certain events took place in Armenia, which can change the configuration of the political system in Armenia. It is not about the small conflicts within the government but the possible change of the configuration of the opposition. Following the elections, as well as in the result of the ANC’s policy, the Heritage party became very active, which was definitely a result of the fact that the ANC had addressed certain messages to the West. As a result of the critics on part of first president Levon Ter-Petrosyan addressed at the European institutions during the rally of June 1 it seems that the ANC has the same stance and opinion concerning the US as well. Specifically, following the announcements of the US Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch some representatives of the opposition made announcements concerning the US, which does not fit with the current political situation and processes. In a word, it is quite understandable that the ANC has reasons to criticize the statement of the European monitors quoting that that elections were one step improvement compared to the previous ones. However it is quite strange that ANC representatives are criticizing the US Embassy as well. Even more, it is strange after the Ambassador’s announcement that they have observed electoral violations almost in all precincts and they will make another final report on the elections. Definitely we will be able to see the real reasons of this drastic change in the opposition’s policy during the upcoming rally of the opposition.
