There was a huge line in front of ALM (Alternative Mass Media) holding yesterday early in the morning. The people registered, left their addresses and phone numbers, and in exchange received a glass candle with Tigran Karapetyan’s bust portrayed on the candle. We found out that Tigran Karapetyan was presenting himself to the public in a new way: he had organized candle lighting. As to what candle lighting had to do with Tigran Karapetyan’s “nationalistic” views, even the staff working at the holding could give an explanation. “Candle lighting is just candle lighting; there is no particular goal to be accomplished.” During a telephone conversation with one of the viewers, Tigran Karapetyan gave the following advice: “If you are a journalist, please come and stand in front of the ALM holding door for half an hour. You will see how many people actually come and get their candles. You can even ask them the purpose of this and count how many people there are in total.” Tigran Karapetyan also stated that 30 people receive candles every half hour. He advised everyone to multiply each half hour by thirty, then, for some reason, divide that number by five. He did not answer any further questions and hung the phone. By following the advice given by Tigran Karapetich, we found out from the people that the candle lighting was for saving his soul. The ALM television staff informed us that the date, time and place will be announced on television.
