“If the state loans of 2008 are successfully acquitted in the US by the fall then the economy will recover over there in the fall. This means that this resurrection of economy will start in Russia in 3-9 months depending on the dynamics of oil price,” told our reporter the former Prime Minister of Armenia Hrant Bagratyan when asked to comment on the possibility of the recovery of the world economy. As of the terms of overcoming the global crisis in Armenia, then according to Bagratyan this will happen only in 6-12 months after the recovery of the US economy. It means this will happen somewhere in spring or fall of 2010. According to the forecasts of the former premier, prior to that in 2009 the index of the reduction of the GDP of Armenia will be approximately 6.5-11%. By the way, when commenting on the fact that the government, which has been bragging about the dual-digit growth of the Armenian economy, has started to more frequently speak about the global crisis, Bagratyan said, “Almost all of them have businesses. They realized that they are lacking money. How could this be? They made noise that they are in crisis. Moreover, in certain cases they are more pessimistic then the opposition. It’s clear their money is less now.”
