Yesterday president of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan had a meeting with Joze Manuel Borozo, president of the European Commission, and Javier Solana, High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy. “Our meeting with president Serzh Sargsyan was rather constructive,” said Solana after the meeting. One of the most important issues in the agenda was the cooperation within the EU Eastern partnership project. “We also discussed the problems that exist in your region and which solution is important not only for Armenia but the entire region as well,” he said. Concerning the Armenian-Turkish relations he said that the process was continuing and the European institutions had big expectations that the negotiations would proceed in line with the agreement the parties reached in advance. Foreign minister Edward Nalbandyan says that the president’s bilateral meetings were constructive and fruitful too. According to him, the meetings were positive in terms of both bilateral relations and different regional and international issues.
