On Saturday the official campaign of the mayoral election of Yerevan was launched. On the very first day some of the parties, which were running in the race, held meetings with their “electorate.” And if the meetings of the governmental parties would only outstand by the fact as in the best tradition people would be bused then as of the Armenian National Congress during the yesterday’s meeting with voters the police again by tradition would ban the march of the citizens. However, the best traditions didn’t stop yesterday. In Moscow movie theater the ARF also held a meeting with the voters, which by following its traditions as usual made oppositional statements. And if we add to this the exaggerated numbers of the voters of Yerevan then we will see that the campaign of the first three days proceeds based on the “traditional mentality.”
