According to well-informed sources, the chief of the National Security Service Gorik Hakobyan will be fired soon. There are two potential candidates for this position: the incumbent prosecutor general Aghvan Hovsepyan and former head of the customs department Armen Avetisyan. It is not excluded that this may be connected with a recent incident when a jeep broke the gates of the national security service’s building and broke into the yard, after which the driver came out of the car and addressed slang at the heads of the security service. According to our information, the mentioned person who burst into the yard of the security service building is a former security officer of the department D, who was fired without any justified reasons. Other people were fired with him too. The officers of the department D are serving for the diplomats of foreign embassies in Armenia.
