After fragmenting the case of seven the government stood in front of serious issues. In particular the court litigation of oppositionists Alexander Arzumanyan and Souren Sirunyan reached the stage of questioning witnesses. But as planned the government wasn’t able to find any decent witnesses to testify against the mentioned oppositionists. And perhaps they reached the reserve option. They sent to court a witness with mental dysfunctions, who testified that on March 1 he had seen the first president of Armenia Levon Ter-Petrosyan present in the vicinity of the area of Myasnikyan’s statue and heard his speech. Everybody knows that on March 1 Ter-Petrosyan was at home custody from early morning. In this case it is not that important how far the testimonies of the “witnesses of the government” are from reality. It is pointless to speak about the moral aspect if this step. When prohibiting rallies the government hides behind children by organizing “events for them”. With the same tactic they use people with mental dysfunctions at courts (the next step is also predictable – if the witnesses go way beyond their planned testimonies they will be immediately considered mentally sick by some forensic conclusion). In fact what happened yesterday in court once again proves the fact that the total case of seven is a fake and fragile balloon. It’s balloon, which is punctured by the government themselves because of choosing wrong witnesses.
