The foreign affairs ministry of Armenia has published an announcement, according to which FM Edward Nalbandyan will pay an official visit to Istanbul on April 6-7 to take part in the second forum of Alliance of Civilizations organized by the UN. It means that Edward Nalbandyan will visit Istanbul during Obama’s visit to Turkey. Maybe this visit is connected with the rumors, according to which the US may initiate development in the relations between Armenia and Turkey resulting in signing a corresponding agreement on opening the borders. It is not excluded that in Istanbul Edward Nalbandyan may meet with the Turkish FM Ali Babacan. By the way, according to the official information, yesterday the foreign affairs ministries of Armenia and Karabakh held a discussion in the foreign affairs ministry. Georgi Petrosyan, the foreign affairs minister of Karabakh took part in the mentioned discussion too. It is clear that the mentioned discussion is connected with Nalbandyan’s visit to Turkey and the possibility of an agreement between Armenia and Turkey because it is not possible to reach any agreement without discussing the issue of Karabakh conflict.
