Violations on the part of the mayor of Vanadzor

According to recent official information the number of the citizens of Vanadzor didn’t exceed 100.000. After the local government elections on October 16 it turned out that the number of voters reached 101.000 (i.e. only adult citizens), only 47.000 of which participated in the elections. That is why the local Mass Media didn’t publish any information about the voter lists before the elections, because they would have to also publish the voter lists for the precinct centers and there might be conflicts. By the way there were changes of ten polling station locations and people were informed about that on the local TV station at night only one day before the election day. In fact most of the voters didn’t know about the location of their polling stations beforehand. We asked some voters and it turned out that most of them found out that their names were missing only on the election day (in spite of this there were names of people who had passed away long ago). As a result of this there were crowds of people not far from the court. Only a part of these people were able to protect their suffrage right. (A lady from # 9 precinct died on the way to the court). Taking into account the inaccuracies of voter lists and the suspicious high number of the votes for the existing mayor we can approve the opinion that there were violations on the part of the existing mayor. The number of “invalid” ballets almost in all polling stations is very suspicious (1600), because it is not so difficult to make the “valid” ballots as “invalid”.
