Yesterday Vardan Malkhasyan, member of the Armenian Volunteers’ Union, Fatherland and Honor party member, was released from the Vardashen prison. The term of his imprisonment finished and he spent two years in cells. His friends, relatives, war participant friends and members of Heritage party met him right at the doors of the prison. “In two years I am again back to you and I am free. Together we will win the despotism and as our war participant friends did, we will give honored freedom as a gift to our Armenian nation,” said Malkhasyan. The latter was arrested on December 9, 2006, for making public announcements to change the rule in violation of the Constitution (Article 301).
