The protest of the advocates’ group against Judge Koryun Piloyan, submitted to the Court of General Jurisdiction of Kentron and Nork-Marash districts earlier this month, has been forwarded to Judge Armen Khachatryan. The decision will be handed down at the turn of the day. Note, Koryun Piloyan studies the criminal case of seven detainees in connection to the March 1 unrest. He had given the advocates ten days (by November 10) to get acquainted with the case material. Reminder: the advocates of detainees Alexandre Arzumanyan, Hakob Hakobyan, Myasnik Malkhasyan, Grigor Voskerchyan, Shant Harutyunyan, Suren Sirunyan and Sasun Mikayelyan, charged under Article 300 (usurpation of state power) and Article 225 (calls for mass disorder), had protested Piloyan’s decision and demanded additional time. “However, this term is not realistic either,” said advocate Hovik Arsenyan to the reporter of Radio Liberty. He believes that there are people among his colleagues, who demand the period of the case for a month.
