During his interview to the Radio Liberty the president of Karabakh Bako Sahakyan made a quite interesting statement. When answering the question as to what’s done to make the NKR a negotiation side Sahakyan said, “During all meetings, especially those with the participation of the Minsk Group cochairmen, we have asked and even demanded that they use their authority and powers and restore today’s disturbed format and translate into action the decision of the OSCE Budapest summit of 1994 that recognized Nagorno-Karabakh as a full party to negotiations.” Thus, it turns out that the NKR demands to become a negotiation party not only from the Minsk Group but also the authorities of Armenia, who according to Sahakyan’s statement don’t realize the necessity of making the NKR a negotiation process party.
