Yesterday during the meeting with journalists the coordinator of the Armenian National Congress Levon Zurabyan stated that the rally of the opposition will take place on October 17, during which the new strategy of the political struggle of the opposition will be presented. Zurabyan said the announcement of the new opposition strategy “will mark a turning point for the fighting people of Armenia and for ascertaining our further steps and achieving success.” During the congress Ter-Petrosyan will address issues starting from the NKR conflict resolution ending with the ways of overcoming the internal political crisis. “The people’s active participation is the most important prerequisite for our success,” he told journalists. He also stated that after the rally they will organize a march. When speaking about the possibility of cooperating with the police for the sake of providing safety for the march Zurabyan said since August 25 the actions of the police had become more aggressive. Although cooperation with them doesn’t work out they are willing to cooperate with the police to provide safety. “Tango is danced in two. If the police agrees, we will,” he said.
