Yesterday the Russian Foreign Affairs Minister Sergey Lavrov held a trilateral meeting in Bishkek with his Armenian and Azerbaijani counterparts discuss details of the Nagorno-Karabakh peace accord proposed by Russia and other international mediators. According to the Public Relations department of the RA Foreign Affairs Ministry RA Minister Edward Nalbandyan and Azerbaijani Minister Elmar Mammadyarov. Nalbandyan says the details of the negotiations on the settlement of Karabakh conflict was discussed, which was based on the “Madrid” proposals made by Minsk Group Co-Chairmen. “I have already said that the key issues of the settlement of NKR conflict are agreed upon and I would like to repeat that the key issue of Nagorno Karabakh conflict is the status of Nagorno Karabakh which must be solved by the expression of the free will of NKR people. And if there are opinions that the key issues are solved, then we can conclude that there is mutual understanding regarding the before mentioned issue,” the Foreign Minister underscored. As of the opinion of certain analysts, according to which Armenia is in an unfavorable state of negotiations Nalbandyan said that those are results of unhealthy imagination. Also, he ensured that after the elections of the president of Azerbaijan the negotiations will enter a more active phase and there will be an opportunity to organize new meetings.
