Yesterday in a move reflecting his administration’s ongoing crackdown on tax evasion, President Serzh Sargsyan merged the Armenian government’s tax and customs services into a single agency named State Revenue Committee. By another decree of the President sacked State Tax Service chief Vahram Barseghyan and appointed the head of the SCC, Gagik Khachatryan to run the State Revenue Committee. Khachatryan was the head of the Customs Committee.
