The newly appointed US Ambassador to Armenia Marie Yovanovish will visit Yerevan in mid-September. This information was publicized yesterday by the US Embassy Charge’d Affairs Joseph Pennington. He also added that the appointment of the new Ambassador will be a step forward in the relations of the two countries. When speaking of the Georgian-Ossetian conflict the diplomat mentioned that the US welcomes all the steps of its partners aimed at providing humanitarian aid to Georgia and the fact that “Armenia agreed to become a humanitarian corridor is also appreciated.”
