Levon Ter-Petrosyan addressed a speech to businessmen during his pre-election campaign and said that if Serzh Sargsyan were elected, they would become “bums”. Answering to our question that whether he has any intentions to leave his business and sell what he has and leave from Armenia because it has been four months since Serzh Sargsyan was elected president businessman Barsegh Beglaryan said, “I have no reason to worry. The reason is not the fact that I can maintain good relations with officials, but the fact that my activities are transparent and accounting records are transparent as well. Anyone can convene a group and come and see my accounting records. There isn’t any danger like that for other either, just they have to have less expectation and be satisfied with what they have. For example, what is the difference if I have 10 or 100 million dollar? What do I need more than a good home, summer house, car and food? Even if I have 10-20 cars, what can I do with those cars if one car is enough for me? As Ostap Bender said, vehicle is means of transportation. Wealth is not something for showing, wealth is your inner quality. It is better if a man is known well in the society not due to his clothes, golden things and jeans, but his intellect, brains and culture. If we don’t accomplish this level, we will not become a good country. We should understand that one can become rich and successful businessman due to his/her merits given by the God and good and fair behavior.”
