The lawyer of Hakob Hakobyan and Myasnik Malkhasyan has informed the radio Liberty that she has submitted a claim to the Supreme Court concerning the court’s decision to prolong the term of their arrest. According to the lawyer, the investigation department has not sufficiently grounded the reasons for prolonging the term of their arrest. “They are prolonging the term of arrest illegally. Being in freedom the MPs cannot hinder the work of the investigation department,” said Melania Arustamyan and assured that if the Supreme Court does the same as the second instance court and leaves its decision the same, the detained MPs will ultimately apply to the European Court of human rights.
